In December 2021 it was announced that US firm <a href=\"https:\/\/www.777part.com\/\"><strong>777 Partners<\/strong><\/a> had <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbl.org.uk\/bbl-and-777-partners-agree-7-million-investment-deal\/\">bought a 45% stake in the British Basketball League<\/a> for an initial sum of \u00a37 million. This will enable the sport to begin to unlock its huge potential to grow the sport in the UK where it is the second most played sport by young people, particularly amongst the non-white community.
